Our arrival at Sheridan Resort and Spa, Sabang Beach, Palawan.  The trip to the resort was long, 1hr and 30mins to be exact from Puerto Princesa airport.  But the road trip was well worth the travel.

Palawan is a place where you can excape the hussle and bussle of the city and just relax and go back to nature.  Warning to you party peoples, Palawan is not a party island like Boracay, it’s very quiet, and peacefull, no parties places, no bars… so if you guys are thinking of partying and picking up girls then this is not the place for you.

Sheridan Resort is situated near the wharf that takes you to the famous Underground River a world heritage site.

There is actually no light inside the Underground River so this little lamp that I’m holding is the only light available when you are in the caves… and I got stuck with the responsibility of lighting the way inside the cave because I sat at the front of the “banka”.  So warning to tourists… do not sit infront of the “banka”.

We were supposed to do the ATV tour going to the mangroves.  We didn’t end up going to the mangroves because the ATV forest track was so much fun in the rain.

Mud was the order of the day!  The dirtier the better!!!

We didn’t expect this to be so “hands on”.  We thought it was easy but it involves abit of basic rock climbing and spilunking.  The light rain just made the rocks a little bit interesting.

And the fastest way down is via the zip line.  The rain, wind and third world safety gear just made it more exciting!

• Huawei Sonic Android Smart phone – my travel phone, Android 2.3 Gingerbread, $188 outright!!!  You can’t go wrong…
• Lumix LX3 – One of the best point and shoot camera out there.  It’s abit outdated now, but still good.. thinking of upgrading now to the GF2 or 3 or even maybe an Olympus PEN series..  Duty free???
• Victorinox Travel Wallet – Yes the makers of the original Swiss Army Knife also makes travel wallets to hold your passports and travel documents.
• Skullcandy G.I. Headphones – For shutting out the outside world… hehehehe
• Casio G-Shock  6900R – Very handy rugged watch.  Unbreakable!!!
• PlusSixOne Sunglasses – For those sunny days…
• US Army ACUPAT camo pattern backpack – fits everything that I need to bring inside the plane like extra clothes, all my gadgets and accessories, etc etc

VIVID SYDNEY is on again!  It’s a yearly outdoor event enticing people to stay outdoors after the sun comes down.  It is apparently the largest light, music and ideas festival in the Southern Hemisphere.  The event starts every night from 6pm till I think around midnight everyday from May 27 till June 13.  For more information please visit the VIVID SYDNEY website.

My newly acquired addition to my Marvel Avengers collection – Mighty Thor!

It’s now much easier to type on the Galaxy Tab.  Finally found the Keyboard Dock in the weirdest of places in Blacktown Tele Choice kiosk store, and it’s the only supply.  Solid and heavy in construction, very easy to use, and charges the tablet… I don’t know why it’s so hard to find this keyboard dock, it should be available in more shops.  It’s a very handy tool specially to Galaxy Tab owners.

For the past few months I was searching for a good casual half-cut style of sneakers.  Because of my feet size it’s hard for me to get shoes.  There is nothing for small feet people anywhere.  Until I came across this brand – KEEP.  Saw them first time in the Hype DC website.  KEEP caters for people with small feet and it’s hard to find shoe brands doing that so I bought the KEEP Shaheen style, it’s made in hemp canvas body, antique eyelets, and vulcanized soles.

Last weekend we visited Journeys a exhibit of photographic works of Josh Robenstone that looks into the world of five creative people who personify craftmanship, originality and imagination.  This ideology also ties in with the NB574 campaign for New Balance for 2011.
